By the way, Sri, if you still check this thread, don't leave the boss portraits along the life bar without a frame. The reduced size (and the much better art) is more than welcome but the portrait needs to emphasize that it's just that -- a portrait and not part of the action scene. Make something similar for these to the protagonist's:
(Quick attempt just to see that the effect works better.)
I'd also reduce (make thinner) the boss' life bar, anyway; they're not particularly pretty.
