Es el primero que no han enfocado como una traslación totalmente fidedigna ya que, al incremento de resolución (1080-P a 60 FPS), hay que añadirle una generación de polígonos en el horizonte muy optimizada. No obstante, se basan en el código original, que fue recuperado, y las escasas texturas existentes están tal cual.
Los títulos anunciados hasta ahora cerrarán la primera fase de esta era de Sega Ages. Si hay más, será ya para una hipotética segunda fase que aún no han decidido porque dependerá del éxito de la primera, pero que estaría más enfocada a las votaciones del fan.

Salamander es el mismo caso, pero el "initial" de Initial D es justo lo opuesto -- el grupo de "kanji" sí es una palabra existente que, de hecho, significa "iniciales" y no se pronuncia como "initial", pero se le cambia el sonido para este caso en particular y sin carácter vinculante. A esto lo llaman "gikun" y se basa en que el "kanji" no tiene una pronunciación única e inamovible.
